Our body’s cells regenerate and rebuild as we sleep.
How can our emotional bodies regenerate and rebuild if we are stuck in a pattern of self-recrimination and self-blame?
What we hold onto is what we wake up to.
So, whatever regret you have today — something you said, thought, did or didn’t do — first, forgive yourself.
You are human. You were not designed for perfection; you were designed for perseverance.
Second, re-frame those regrets. Regrets are sign-posts on our growth map. They show us where
we are in contrast to where we want to be.
If your regret today was lack of patience with a loved one or co-worker, ask yourself:
— How can I transform my relationship with patience tomorrow?
— What’s one daily routine activity I can practice with patience tomorrow?
And thirdly, let it go. Trust that you are now invested in the process of growth.
